Grandpa Sam and Grandma Mary came to see us

My parents came Tuesday evening July 8. They had been on a tuning trip to NE part of Indiana and then made a trip through MI, then around and down through WI. Wednesday Joseph showed them the park we often go to. Wednesday night the bible study was at our place and we had everyone stay afterwards for cake and ice cream. We decided to celebrate Josephs birthday a week early since my folks were here. We didn't tell anyone that when we asked them to stay afterwards.
On Thursday we went to Old World Wisconsin. It was very HOT............ I think Dad and Mom thought they were back home. I forgot to spray Joseph......... so he go bit (a bit) by mosquitoes. I think Joseph enjoyed seeing different farm animals but most of all he discovered the drinking fountain............. otherwise known in this state as the bubblier (spelling ?)

Fourth of July Weekend

We spent the weekend with Dean & Kathy Ramsden. Dan and Dean were good friends growing up. For the past few years Dan and Dean had been talking of getting together but our trips up that way have been for getting together with family. We knew it would never happen if we didn't take a weekend for there. So at the last minute we made plans to go........... and they fit us in to their plans............. and we had a good time.

On Saturday we went up to Jim's (Dans brother) and spent some time there. Randy & Debbie (and children) came down also. Joseph enjoyed some time in the pool. We saw the fireworks in Wisc Rapids on Friday night and also Saturday night at a lake near Dean. On Sunday morning we picked up Grandma Millie for mtg and then out for lunch. It was a busy weekend but fun filled time.

Glenda and Family came to see us

Sunday evening of June 22 the Loesch's arrived at our place. My second oldest sister Glenda.... her husband Andy and two of their children Eric and Sarah, also Emily (Eric's girlfriend)

Monday we spent the day at the zoo and the evening we went down to the Lake. Tuesday they went back down to Milwaukee for some sight seeing and then on to Chicago. We are glad they included us in their trip to Chicago.

Monday Morning..............

I have a lot of back tracking to do. I want to post a few pictures of when my sister Glenda and family was here (last part of June) then July 4th weekend and when my parents were here.
We had a nice day yesterday. Richard & Barb and Larry & Elaine came for dinner. Its been almost 4 years and we still haven't had everyone we meet with over plus others we owe. Of course that is not the reason you have people over just because you owe them......... yet you feel in debt.
Friday we went over to Madison for Dan's doctor appt at the VA. Joseph and I got to see a man loose his patience (if he had them to begin with)and started getting upset. Someone (employee) called security, the cop showed up and this really set the man off. A whole string of words came out of his mouth............ Most of you know how Joseph repeats every word he hears............. You can imagine what was going through my mind. Thankfully Joseph did not repeat one word. I think he was so in shock at seeing these people hollering he missed the words. The cop later came back by and apologized to us for Joseph having to see and hear what happen. Dan missed it all because he was back seeing the doctor. Otherwise our experience to the VA hospital was nice. Better than I expected......... I was remembering a few visits during the work that didn't impress me.

After the appointment we went to see Agnes Mathison, who is in the nursing home in Mt Horeb. She is 106 years old. (she heard the gospel when she was in her 50's) Her sister, who is 96, is also in the same nursing home. Her son, who is 85, is in the assisted living part. She does use a walker now......... a recent thing it sounds like.

WHAT'S GOING ON???????

I can't get my pictures to come through? They were there but I didn't like the layout in which they appeared so I deleted them. Tried again and now they won't appear. I have the hardest time getting the picture to appear before the writing or after the writing. Any of you professional bloggers have a suggestion?? Other than telling me I have to play around with it? (I'm a lazy person)

Our Little Guy is TWO!!!!!!!

I can hardly believe Joseph is two years old today. This past year has gone so fast. I hope the three years don't go as fast because I'm not ready for the school years. Best just take it one day at a time and not think so far ahead.
I'll the pictures from last week when we celebrated his birthday. (while my folks were here) We asked the bible study to stay afterwards for cake and ice cream. The cake I made didn't turn out that great. I tried writing on it............ awful. I ended up smearing the name to make it look like grass. (as my Mom sat there with a horrified look) Dad ended up going to Pick N Save for a cake. Later Dan wrote Joseph's name on the one I made.

Happy Birthday Mason!!!!!!!!

Today is my Nephew Mason's birthday............. 11 years old. Hope you have a fun filled day Mason. Mason is the son of my brother Steve and his wife Audrey.

One of these days I'm going to get back to posting. I guess a person doesn't always have to have pictures to go with their postings. Seems when I start something I do it with a bang then it starts to fizzle.
I've go some pictures from when my sister was here 3 wks ago, then over the 4th and then my folks were here last week. We celebrated Joseph's birthday a week early.

We have a new addition to our Wednesday night meeting. Baby girl born to Dale and Karli Olson.
