They had to cancel Dan's appointment and reschedule for next week Thursday the 5th. That was very disappointing.
Yet it was also welcomed because the brothers were here visiting. It gave us a little more time with them.

Happy Birthday Dad (February 21st)
I forgot to mention my Dad birthday................................. sorry Dad. I know I almost forgot to call until the evening. Every year on my Dad's birthday he stands on his head................ to prove he can still do it. Wish we could have have seen it on the web cam. Maybe we can talk him into to doing it again for us. I'll have Joseph ask him.
On the 24th, Jared, my nephew turned 19. I thought of him on his day but forgot to mention it.

End of Week Two
My computer time has really been cut down. You would remember that Dan is home because of being unemployed. It just wouldn't be right to be on the computer like I normally am or he would think I didn't do a thing but be on the computer. Any way................ I will try to update and a bit of this and that.
* Dan just learn he is now permanently laid off.
* Dan finally has an appointment with the heart failure specialist on the 26th of this month. So
hope to learn a little more of the situation.
* Joseph has really enjoyed having Dan around and really it isn't so bad. (smile)
* Dan had an appointment in Madison at the VA on Friday 13th (lucky we aren't superstitious)
It was just with an heart PA. We decided since we were an hour on the way we go on up
and visit family. We ended up just going to Randy's because household in Rapids were sick.
While at Randy's we got to see Dan & Megan S and also got to meet Brian & Kim M ( of course
Dan knew them already) Both couples have two boys and the oldest are two and half years
old. I'll add a photo of all the boys. On the way back home we stopped to see Dean and Kathy.
* I feel like an horrible mom. I had been mean to get Joseph back to the shoe place and get his
feet measured but hadn't yet. While at Randy's the other ladies were talking about the shoe
size of their boys. One of them wears a 10! So I'm thinking............. I've got to get Joseph to
the shoe store because I still have him in 7. One of the ladies mentioned that it is hard to tell
where their toes are because they will curl them. Must have been what Joseph was doing.
One foot measured 8 and half the other foot measured 8. I put the shoes on him and asked
him how they felt. He said they feel nice.
* Last week Joseph tooted and I asked him if he was passing gas. He said no I'm passing steam.
This is the best picture, out of 3, of the boys. The two youngest are leaning and Joseph is sitting in the crack.

First three boys have Daniel as their middle name. I thought that was kind of neat. Out of 6 boys and 4 men there were 5 Daniels.

Day One................
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Today is also the first day of my husbands unemployment. I have learned from past experiences that a little humor can go along ways.
So folks.................... here we go.
Maybe I should have Dan do some posting here. Then again maybe I better not! Mercy! What am I going to do with him? I can't send him to the basement............ we live in an apartment. I can't send him to the garage................ its to cold for that.
I better publish this and sign out before he walks into the room. (smile)

Happy Birthday Millie and Zach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel absolutely terrible!! I forgot to wish Millie Swonger happy birthday! Most would know that Millie is my mother-in-law............ which makes it even worse. Now we didn't forget her birthday I just forgot to mention on the blog. My dear Mother-in-law............. please forgive me.
I also so forgot Zach Swonger yesterday. Happy Birthday Zach!!!! Hope you had a great day!

Baby............... it is cold outside
I think it is suppose to get up to 29 today, in the upper 30's tomorrow and into the 40's on Saturday. I think I read some rain in there on Saturday. Maybe it will get rid of this ugly, dirty looking snow we have........................ then of course give us some more.
As I've said before................ I need to write more often, even if I don't have pictures, because I forget things I wanted to put down. I've heard this before........... ALL parents think THEIR children say the cutest things. I'll have to mention a few.............. that I can remember.
* Yesterday I asked Joseph what he wanted for breakfast and he said yogurt. I said what else do you want and his response was yogurt. I told him he needed something else with the yogurt. So I asked him the same question and his response was..................... I want yogurt and a spoon.
* He knows pretty well what his name is and will even tell someone (sometimes) if they ask. He is so good at it that when I ask him if he is hungry, thirsty, cold, etc............ he lets me know that he is Joseph.
* The other night we were talking about ears (don't ask why...... I can't remember) and Dan told him that he had his Mommy's ears. Joseph quickly replied that he had Joseph's ears.
* I'm not sure if Joseph has grasped the fact that we now have workers that are named Charles and Charles. When I mention we are going to gospel meeting and we will see Charles and Charles he then tells me we will also see Gaylen and Gaylen.
* Now I can grasp how it was for children when I was with Wanda Skilbred. One Dad would tell his little son to tell the Wandas goodnight. He would say.......... Goodnight the Wandas.
