The Parents Came in June....Then The Fireworks (in July)

June means the end of school and summer break begins. Also means that Grandpa Sam and Grandma Mary will be coming for a visit. We often go to the zoo but this time we went to the Discovery World. Joseph and Abigail really enjoyed it..... I think we all did.
Later in June we went up to Dan's brother Randy's place. All the siblings were there (and some of the their children) for a camp out weekend. We helped Randy celebrate his 50th birthday too.

April and May......

In April we lost Dan's Mother Millie Swonger.  She had been on hospice for just over two years. When she first went on hospice they gave her just a few weeks but Millie was a fighter.  At the end when she was so bad hospice would say.... for a normal person we would say 2 days but Millie is not normal.....  The funeral was Saturday April 18th and we couldn't have asked for better weather (had we asked) because it was a nice day for April.  She will be greatly missed. For awhile Dan would pick up his phone and think I'll give Mom a call....... End of last month we all got together at Randy's and I kept expecting to see her at the table (and probably letting one of the youngins drink some coke)

Like I mentioned in the post before that we moved in May.  I can't believe it but I did not get any moving pictures.  While we were still there we had two special sisters come by for a little visit. It was special to see Arlene and Eleanor. Eleanor's home visit was soon coming to an end, she and Arlene were going to visit family.  We were glad they included us on their way north.

WAIT!!!!!!! Where has the year gone?????

Obviously while I've been lazy and neglectful of the blog the months have slipped by and winter will be upon us again.  Which makes me shiver to think of it. I will see what I can do here today and then tomorrow maybe enjoy a lakeside with the children.

Maybe you noticed some changes that I made to the blog. We are no longer on a farm in Waukesha and nor are we living behind a 15' chicken.  We moved in May to the Village of Dousman which is closer to I94 than we were. We are a wee bit north west of where we use to live.

Joseph will be going to a different school this year but still in the same school district. He will attend Dousman Elementary and Abigail will also start there this year in 4K.  The teacher that Joseph had at Magee for 4K went to Dousman a couple years ago so we are happy that Abigail will have her.

We are now in a 3 bedroom duplex in a neighborhood of apartments and duplexes. There are lots of positives and a couple negatives. We have more room (I think), 1 full bath and half bath, J & A have their own rooms, not far from our Sunday meeting though we are in another field (but that mtg is full to capacity), the children can ride their bikes here and we can walk.  BUT it's a lot more money than we were paying and the neighbors are like right there.....
