Hard to see......

Saturday was nice temp out but a bit windy yet not as windy as today.  With it reaching the 60's today it is hard to imagine that the high tomorrow will be around 34.
Joseph and Abigail enjoyed some time outside yesterday afternoon. Before we came in we took a walk around the farm with J & A in the wagon.  Noticed two more calves in the field...... when the cows are on the east side we don't see them much.  The first to meet us, because it was up at the fence, was the bull.  Dan made an observation...... when the bull was looking at Joseph and Abigail he had a softer look (or stare) than when he was watching us.  He himself has grown over the summer was what I noticed.

The couple who lived below us moved the weekend before.  They bought a house not too far from here. She is a granddaughter of the owner.  Her brother (and girlfriend) live in the white house across the drive and also another cousin and his wife. I think the house is divided up into 3 or 4 apartments.  When we knew Nick (her cousin) was moving, from this building, we asked about the apartment below and since then but we were told that they really only wanted family there or someone who worked for the business.  I guess the reason is the electrical part.... there is more on that meter than just that apartment or the apartment has two meters..... so probably the business pays the bill.  There are four meters out there and only three apartments.  I think the downstairs part was once two apartments.
So it was hard to see our next door neighbor (across the hall), who has worked here for years, move in downstairs.  He is a single man with a dog....... moved into a three bedroom, big kitchen, dining room, nice size living room, another small room, full bath and half bath apartment.
No we are not family, no we don't work here and the rent would probably be higher than we have.  Okay I will quit pouting and feeling sorry for myself.  Thank you for listening...... sometimes life just doesn't seem fair but we just have to keep on going......

Nice temp for Saturday but windy

Halloween at school.......

The last fitting before leaving for school

I took over some water bottles (requested drink) for their party
So I got to take some pictures at school.... his class

Going to line up for the Halloween Parade

Joseph with his big buddy
On Thursdays in the afternoon they join up with
the 5th graders. Each child has a buddy that they read
with, draw with and whatever.  He seems a really nice boy.
He kind of reminded me of Trevor.... one of our friends son.

They walked from the school down to the old depot station in Genesee
and back.  I heard the teacher tell Austin to keep a close eye on Joseph and
not to let him fall behind.  I see he is holding his hand.

Wreck in front of where we live

Tuesday, October 30th, we woke up to an accident in front of where we live.  The thing is we didn't hear it happen..... at least we don't think we did.  I did wake up and think my alarm is going to go off soon. When my alarm went off 5 mins later I could see flashing lights and a red glow on the window shade.  I tried to take some pictures.... which doesn't work to well at night.  We found out later that it was an employee that works here at the business..... he was going to turn in (left turn) when he from behind by the SUV who pushed him into the on coming traffic and was hit by the white town car.  The employee was flown by Flight for Life to a hospital...... where he had a 10% chance to live..... he died Wednesday night.  The SUV was driving on a revoked license (from drinking and driving in 2010).

SUV caught on fire...... this pic before the fire trucks came

After the emergency crews were come and gone.... now they are walking
off the accident and marking the tire tracks with different color markings
for each car.  It was interesting to watch this.

Employee's car

All the cars loaded up...... highway crew and tow truck drivers cleaned up
Hwy 59 was closed for about 5 and half hours.  The school bus couldn't come for Joseph off of Hwy 83 so Dan took Joseph to school.  He had to tell them when he came back that he lived down here.

A pumpkin for Christmas and a little birthday.....

I heard Joseph telling the neighbor, sometime back in October, that he was going on a field trip with his class to a farm.  He would get to pick a pumpkin to carve for Christmas.  The holidays kind of run together around here.

Carving the pumpkin Joseph brought back from farm field trip

for a few hours

How about a try in the trailor before
we go outside...... please......

pretty please........

yes I get upset a bit but can't stay that
way for long.....  they are just children
and I do think they are a bit cute :)

We were glad that my parents came up for the convention.  Joseph and Abigail thought it was pretty neat to take turns sitting by them.  Nice that they could be here for Charles funeral.  Dad remembers when Charles came to Kentucky and his time there.

Proud of his sunflower!!  Joseph's class last year
planted a sunflower seed in a cup.  We were
slow in getting it repotted into something larger and
that made it later in blooming

Another Sunday of trying to get a decent picture and this
was the best one. This was the Sunday before convention.

Little sister trying to get dress in
big brother's clothes.

Lost another tooth Tuesday after convention!!!
