The End of November

We got a little bit more snow before Thanksgiving so there was a bit of shoveling to do. When Abigail learned her Daddy was going out to shovel a bit she told me she thought she should go out and help him. So I found some purple snow pants (thank you Ella) which looked good with her purple coat (thanks Ella) and she was ready to go.  I often forget to get these "first time" things with the camera like I did with Joseph.

Following Dad's example

Oops! Looks like she is pushing it back

We went up to Randy and Debbie Swonger's for Thanksgiving this year. Dan had the van loaded up before they went to bible study and when I got home from work we took off.  We had planned to get there around 1:30 am but the last third of the way it was snowing, blowing and a bit slick so we arrived just after 2:30 or so.  Dan got less than 2 hours of sleep because he wanted to be out in the deer stand Thanksgiving morning.  We had our dinner around 3:00 or after.

I saw them sitting in front of the heater with Joseph's arm around Abigail but then when they saw me they had to try to "pose".

 Dinner is served!!!!!  Yum......

 And then the here after........

Dan got very lucky!! He got his deer on his first day! He got two!! BUT NOT JUST THAT...... HE GOT HIS FIRST BUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I was excited for him...... because he got his first buck and would you believe that if we had the money I would have loved for him to get it mounted..... since it was his first!!
THAT IS WHERE THE EXCITEMENT STOPS!!!  What comes afterwards grosses me out.... I try to stay out of the cutting area as much as I can..... I usually help wash a bit and then package. I did not take pics of cutting this year.

The dear deer are lined out in the garage.... a bit stiff because that is normal and they were frozen.  They set up a couple heaters to warm them up... the hunters appreciated that too.  They had 7 lined up on Friday afternoon.... one of the hunters stepped out to take a "break", he look over his shoulders and saw 3 deer...... yep, he ran and grabbed his gun and shot one..... so then there was 8 dear deer.... and then one more Saturday morning.

Cuyler taking Joseph on the snowmobile
Uncle Randy had promised Joseph a four wheeler ride before we went home.  So Sunday afternoon came, we were packing up and Joseph was wondering when this ride was going to happen........
Abigail got her a ride too

Corina gives Joseph his four wheeler ride

which he is enjoying

Abigail is loving her ride too

They liked the four wheeler better than the snowmobile. They thought the snowmobile was too loud and smelled. It was an older snowmobile.

A picture that Abigail took of her bear
