How do things happen so fast?? I had just checked on them out the window. Not that much time went by (I don't think) when I checked on them again. What I saw was Abigail standing by the garage in her underpants and a stream of water coming her way. At first I was.... WHAT??!!..... then I had to laugh because she was laughing and having a great time. So..... I grab the camera had headed down the stairs. When I opened the door the big brother was standing there with the hose.
Abigail having a great time....... and Joseph enjoying control of the hose.
Mean Mom here put the hose away so they were through the puddles
I can't help but wonder what the people think who work over in the building across the way or the truck drivers as they were coming and going. That wasn't the end of the water fun..... When Dan got home they went out to welcome him and decided to stay out to ride there bikes. Dan and I had been talking in the kitchen and watching them out the window. I went to the bedroom to get dress for work and folded some towels when I noticed the sound of the traffic changed. I looked out and discovered it was raining. I asked Dan if the kids were inside.... no, why?....... it's raining.... So I went in the kitchen and there they are riding their bikes in the rain. Joseph had his bike helmet on but Abigail had a bucket on her head....... and yes I had to laugh and wished I would have took a picture.
Let me take your picture Abigail......
Hey...... you looked down
Lets try again and look at me this time
And this is a picture of Blueboy's grave....

Monday Mourning......
After almost two and a half years our Blueboy has passed away. Blueboy is a Betta fish and has been fun to watch. The name came to be because he is blue and a male. Before I encouraged Joseph to think of a name that might have to do with the color he had wanted to name him Humper.
Blueboy's coloring started to fade a few days ago. Yesterday is blueness started turning grey and he looked like he was gasping for air. His passing is being taken pretty good. Joseph is already talking about the next fish, color and name. He mentioned yesterday that we would get a big tank so we could have a shark and a cuddle fish. Joseph has a big imagination...... bigger than our apartment and much bigger than our bank accounts.
I got home Thursday night to find Abigail doing this. Dan was working on making some bookcases.... doing the gluing inside and Abigail fell asleep in a chair. She has been able to fall asleep just about anywhere.
Joseph was reading and looking at books. We need to work harder on his reading since it is less than a month till school starts.
While out on Saturday we needed to stop by Walmart. They had a race car on display. Joseph said "I've never seen a race car in real life before"
Also on display was a Model T 1925
So while at Walmart Joseph bought some knee pads and elbow pads with some his birthday money. After he had fallen a few times he had told me he needed knee pads. He added a pair of Dan's old safety glasses for extra protection.
Abigail had birthday money left and she got a basket for a bicycle. I wish we could get Abigail a girly helmet..... but Dan says that Joseph's old helmet is good enough. Right now she doesn't know the difference just her Mommy.
Since the bears were on the bikes with them they needed protection too.... right? So Daddy made them both bike helmets out of an egg carton and rubber band. Then had a little color.
As they were heading out the door Dan said he didn't give them over 20 minute survival.
Well lasted a couple hours but are fixable.... just need a new hole for the rubber band.

Birthday, Fair and Wet Fun
Randy, Debbie, Cuyler and Corina were here for Sunday night before before an early appointment in Madison.
Since it was just a couple days before Joseph's birthday we decided to have cake and ice cream after supper.

Opening presents before Daddy leaves for work. Joseph let Abigail open one...... nice of him
Hot wheels and a guitar
Now if we can just keep it in one piece and in time he will learn to play
A hot day for getting wet and it is still fun even if Mom is letting us do it.
Found an old sprinkler someone had around here
They often like to get a hold of the hose and spray each other.
A day at the Waukesha County Fair. Thanks to some folks who had extra tickets and thought of us.
and time for dreaming......

July the 4th and Friday......
Waiting for the Waukesha 4th of July parade to start
There is nothing like men in skirts playing bagpipes...... I think there were a few women
The old timers
and
the present......
On Friday we rented a boat and spent the day on Pewaukee Lake........
Hello ducks......... probably should not threw you some bread left from Abigail breakfast sandwich..... now you will follow us.... it is hard to ignore quaking ducks
Abigail...... please don't drop the fishing pole
Some of our catches...... Mine was a 17" Large Mouth Bass which I caught on a 24" Lighting McQueen fishing pole..... Dan had to bring a net under it because the pole would not lift it. Abigail was holding the pole but got bored with it.
One of Joseph's catch
Fresh air, water, sun or just complete boredom makes one sleepy
I put a blanket like thing across the front for some shade
Dan and Joseph went fishing a bit the next evening over at Stiers
They both look happy....
