Time Marches On................

Hard to believe that August is just about over. This summer has gone by so fast and Wisconsin conventions will soon be starting. Tomorrow we plan to go again to the Wisc Dells Work Day. The first Work Day was last week. Dan had a test scheduled last Friday at the VA in Madison so afterwards we went to visit Agnes and then on up to the convention grounds. We had thought of using our tent but the weather forecast had said rain (which it didn't)so Dan stayed in with Ray and Darren, Joseph and I stayed at the house. I didn't figure I would get to do much with helping out but Joseph did really well and I helped a bit with window cleaning. We will see what is in store for us this Saturday.

Yesterday (28th) was Heather B's birthday. She had to get some work done on their car so Joseph and I picked her up and went to the mall. After the mall we went over to the Cheesecake Factory. By that time Joseph was getting hungry, tired and was wounded up. It was loud in there and he felt he had to be louder.

Tuesday we went over to Heather B's................ Elliot and Emerson were there. I left Joseph with Heather and Marleah. Joseph didn't cry when I left, didn't cry while I was gone nor did he cry when I came back. So................ I almost cried. Joseph has really gotten more outgoing in the past 5 months. He seemed to enjoy being around the boys. Next week I have an appointment so he plans to stay with Marleah for a bit.

Milwaukee is having the big 105th Harley anniversary. Yesterday it seemed everywhere you turned they were in groups of 5 or more. Dan is working down in Milwaukee and said they are all over. Last month they open the Harley museum. Yesterday a couple got married out in front. They are from Belgium (I think).

I'll see if I have any pictures to throw in here and there. I'll put one in of our trips to the dumpster. Joseph insist on pulling the wagon. Sometimes in can be heavy so I carry a bag. It's amazing how heavy diapers can be.............

Back Home Again

We got home Sunday night (actually Monday AM) around 12:30. We decided to stay for the last last meeting. It is hard to leave before it is over........ not wanting to miss anything. You can help but think what if there is more just for me in that last meeting. We had a VERY GOOD convention and a MUCH NEEDED one for us. The weather was excellent with highest temp maybe around 85 or so. (instead of 100) Even if the temp was what it normally is it would have still been a very good convention.
Joseph did amazingly and well surprisingly well. Since the spring he has really come out of his shyness and clinging. He still wants to keep us in site but does well with the family if we do disappear. We didn't get very many pictures this time. Usually we get a picture of the van fully packed with Joseph peeking out but not this time. We pack everything in bins and plastic containers. It seems easier to handle in a tent that suitcases, bags and sacks. They are easier to stack and help a bit more with the moisture.
Last night after supper we unloaded the van. When we got home we took up the groceries, our wash up bags and Josephs things. I didn't have enough energy to unload yesterday so now I'm looking a a pile of laundry sitting in front of the washer and dryer.
I better get moving and get a few things done before Joseph wakes up.

Going South

We hope to leave very early tomorrow morning for Shoals. Hope to have the van load except for the little things. (like wash up bags) I hope we can get to bed early tonight. Each of my sentences start out with HOPE........... one must have hope. The weather, the past few days, has been wonderful convention weather............ HOPE it continues.

Joseph loves to help me do the laundry and pack. I pack and he unpacks........ or he finds other things to pack. He helps put things in the washer and if I don't have any more clothes he runs to the bedroom and brings me clean clothes out of the drawers. The whole time he is saying "help mama, help mama".

Children learn by example............. Joseph copies everything we do and repeats everything we say. Yesterday we coming in from outside and Joseph turned around moved away from the building and spit. (or tried to) No.......... I don't do that. Yes........... his Daddy does. So now I guess Joseph thinks that is what you do before going in.

I still haven't got a picture of Joseph for his two year. JC Penny had some of the Brewers stuff on sale then the extra discount.......... so we got shorts and top for Joseph. They look more like PJ's so that is what we are using them for. Last year when Dan's boss took them for opening day one of the other guys gave Dan a bat he had bought to hold for him. He never came back to get it, plus by that time he was drunk, so Bob told Dan to take it home. Any way................

What's Up?!?

Nothing much new here to write about. It is nice to hear that Brett Favre has found his place............ in New York. I can't imagine not staying retired for the amount of money they wanted to give him. He says he plays for the love of playing football not for the money. But still............ Now the newspapers will have to find something else to write about. Won't be hard I'm sure...............

Next week we are planning to head down to Shoals for convention. We were there three years ago and Dan said he didn't know if he would ever go back. Nice he has had second thoughts. (I think) That time when we were there it was up to 100 degrees. Hope Joseph does okay with the humidity. I'm thinking of not running the AC on Monday and Tuesday............ just to get us ready. My luck that will be the two coolest days of the summer. We plan to sleep in our tent. Glenda told us where Andy and the boys sleep its pretty cool. I told them Dan didn't want to part from me. SWEET!!! Then I remembered the reason Dan doesn't want to sleep in the bunks is because of his "active" nights. He isn't as active in his sleep as he use to be from what I've heard. Mainly just hollering out. Any way.................... Shoals is a heavenly place......... but it is HOT!

Doctors Appointment

Joseph had his two year check up today. Which is almost 3 weeks past the two year mark. Now if I can just get a two year picture. I keep waiting for the bumps and bruises to go away but another appears.
Any way........... his appointment went fine with no shots. Next appointment is three years except a flu shot in the fall. He weights 31 pounds and 14 ounces, which we can just say 32 pounds. He is 36 and 1/4 inches long/tall and yes, his head size has increased too. He is in the 90 percent and yes his head is still off the charts.

HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY SARAH

Happy Birthday Sarah Loesch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe its number 13!! You are starting the terrible teens (which probably started at 12) and Joseph start the terrible twos. Dan continues to tell me its the terrific twos....................... that is positive thinking. Twos or Teens its a learning experience and not all are terrible. No................ the teen years aren't terrible (though I wouldn't want to go back) but a great time for learning and preparing for the future. Don't I sound like someone that has been there and done that. Except I've been there but I didn't do that.
Any way...................... Happy Birthday Sarah................. we love you.
