Time Outside

Dan and Joseph went outside after they got back
from Joseph going to "play school".

Abigail and I decided we should join them for a bit.
It was nice...... I'm glad I got myself out.....

I let Abigail have about 3 minutes of sun then as an
over protective mother I put the shade up.




Dan was getting his van cleaned out so he can be ready
go for the next job. He either does one tomorrow and
Saturday or go with the scheduled job on Monday. I am
going to miss him.......... he has been taking care of the
children, cooking, laundry, shopping. The last few days
I've been back to doing everything for Abigail.





Joseph dumped some stuff that wasn't to be dumped
so Dan thought he should vacuum it up. He didn't do
too bad for someone scared of vacuum cleaners. He
would do a bit then stop and tell Dan it was his turn.

Another week of Appointments

We had two planned appointments and one unplanned.  Tuesday Abigail had her two month check up.  Every thing looked good and she is growing as she should.   Her weight is 11 pounds and 3.5 ounces now and she is 23" long.   So in two months she has gained 2 pounds and 2.5 ounces and has grown 3".   Only thing the doctor did have concern about was having her take Vit D supplement.  He said they have found with babies whose moms breast feed only they are lacking and also mothers keep their children out of the sun.  I guess rickets is on the rise again.......... so we will try to give the supplement drops. She got a few shots which she was not happy about at all.  She settled down a bit then when I got out to the waiting room she felt she needed to tell Daddy about...........  Her next appoinment is 4 months.

Wednesday (yesterday) I went to see the surgeon who did my hernia repair.  He said it looks good but to leave the tape (that is across the stiches) on for another week.  I don't have to go back to him unless there is a problem.  Which there has been a bit of one with some pain and the skin is very sensitive.  He said it could be a neuro thing and would fade away..... if not in a month then call one of my doctors.  The older you get the more doctors one seems to have.  Any way....... I asked about restrictions and yes I have restrictions for 6 wks..... which means I have 5 left.   No weight over 20 pounds.... last week it was 15 and some one told me the doctors where she works puts it at 10 which is what Dan's restrictions were when he had such a surgery but in not in the same spot.   So........ I think I will stick close to 15 pounds.

Between Abigail and I we've had 7 appointment in 17 days.  Only one of those appointments was Abigail.  Lucky for Joseph he didn't have to go to all seven but over half of them.  And now Dan's has his appointments next week at the VA.......... this time we will not be going with him.   April must be the month check ups, check ins and check outs.

If only I knew.........

If I knew I would feel this bad I probably would have put off having hernia surgery. I guess I took it being a minor surgery to being minor pain and minor discomfort and minor problems but...... I guess if I hadn't had it done then it could have changed to not so minor.

It didn't help that I wasn't completely healed from the last procedure and that the hernia was a complication from all that has happened.

It hurts to move and I'm scared to move. I don't want to take any more pain medicine than than needed though I would like to not feel a thing but I want to be able to nurse Abigail. One thing the medicine makes her nap a lot but could effect her breathing.

Guess I better go back to bed and relax...................... getting stressed and tensed doesn't help.

Surgery went well except the Doctor told Dan that my muscle in that area is very thin from stretching........... so they hope it will hold. Well....... I HOPE SO TOO!!!! A lot of pain! This morning it feels like some of it is gas pain........ would have been nice had they taken the air back out that they put in. Oh well........... toot, toot, TOOT!!
I asked him about the pain that higher up and he said he didn't feel it had anything to do with the hernia. He said it could be my gallbladder. Said it can happen after pregnancy... something to do with hormones getting it messed up.... we blame a lot on hormones... well here is one more thing.
Dan was with me yesterday and plans to be around today and probably most of tomorrow. His next job starts on Monday. Next week Abigail has her two month appointment Tuesday afternoon and Joseph starts the "playschool" at the Mukwonago high school that morning.
They told me my following up appointment would be between 7 and 10 days..... guess I'm to call and make the appointment. Can't drive for a week so........... I may need Dan on Tuesday. It is times like this that I wished I lived closer to my family.
Dan took the night feeding last night............... I'm pumping and dumping. The anesthesiologist thought it would be safe to nurse last night but Dan wanted to be safer plus I need to call about the pain medicine and how it will do with Abigail. It is pretty much the same as in the hospital and she did fine.

This Sunday, April 4th, is our Special Meeting.

It was very special to have Ruth Eoff for our special meeting
visit. She came for Tuesday supper and the night.









Francis and Jill came to pick Ruth up the next morning.

Week of appointments.........

We enjoyed having Ruth Eoff here Tuesday for supper and the night.  I took a couple pictures but I can't find my camera at the moment.......  I think it is in the van.
We are having some nice days here....... hope to go outside today.  Dan took Joseph by the park yesterday on the way home from my doctors appointment.  Abigail and I went to Target and Pick n Save on our way home.  So Joseph got to ride in the work van (since Dan met us there)

I've had enough doctor appointments to last me for awhile but there is more to come.  Abigail soon has her 2 month appointment on the 13th...... the same day that Joseph does the play school thing at Mukwonago high school.
I've had a lot of pain and tenderness since Abigail was born and I figured it was from the proceedure they did right after the delivery.  This past weekend the pain got worse.... burning sensation and then my stomach (around the button) turned red.  Monday morning I called the doc, asked them if it should be looked at or should I just wait till Thursday (my 6 week).  They told me to come in..... by this time the redness was pretty much gone.  My doctor is off on Monday and I saw a PA.  She felt like I had a hernia and gave me three surgeons names on the 2nd floor of the same building.  On my way out I stopped by there and they gave me an appointment for Wednesday.  So Wednesday I went to see the surgeon.......... yes I have a small hernia which seems to be in the spot where they made the incesion.. (I think)   So now I have surgery scheduled for next Wednesday afternoon.  Then Thursday I was back at the doctors for my 6 week appointment. I guess all is well except I'm not taking in enough calcium..... so got to change that.  I'm not a milk drinker.... plus it doesn't always effect my the best.
Guess I should have complained sooner but I don't think they would have done anything until I was further out from my delivery.    Of course I didn't ask the questions that I should have asked.  I will try to ask them before the surgery.

I was messing around with my settings and stuff.   I think I upgraded or something...... now I can't find the spell check.  Where is it??????   I see a strike through thing......    I've got to have spell check!!
