Time at the park and outside.........
I think we are going to be spending a lot of time outside. Glad we havea park in Genesee Depot. (probably 2 miles from the house)
This time Joseph is really climbing more. He climbed some before but
now its like he isn't afraid and will try anything. I'm still a little unsure!
He takes good naps after a work out at the park. Yeah!! But I can't
complain. He has always done well with naps and going to bed. Now

that he is in a big bed he does like to crawl out a couple time. Not that
he doesn't want to go to bed but because he knows he can climb out.
While he was riding on the motorcycle he told me he was a
Harley Man. (oh great)
He can reach the pedals now and is doing a great job.
I think this was gift last year from D & K............ he enjoys
picking up what he can and then dumping it. The truck fits
Last week..........
Thursday we went to yard sales. I'm looking for a child's seat forriding on our bicycle or on of those trailer like things. Any way
no luck this time but at the first yard sale I found this tractor and

They separated the cows last week. Moms from last years
calves. So we've been hear alot of moooooing from both sides
of the farms. Seems when they see some one they really start
in. Guess they think will get them back with their little ones
who are not so little any more. They should soon be having
their new ones. Last year they had 6 or 7 and they all were
males. It looks like only one is going to be a bull. Yes, this is
no luck this time but at the first yard sale I found this tractor and
wagon for $5.00. I couldn't pass it up. Needless to say Joseph
was trilled with my buy.

While we were outside Joseph was picking some of the
dandelions. I told him to hold them up a say these are for
Aunt Debbie.

a city girl talking. I got educated by Ruth Eoff on a few things
about cows and steers. (smile)Joseph was up close when one of the cows decided to moo in a
desperate way. Next thing I knew he was standing behind me
looking around at the cow.
Happy Mother's Day...........
Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day. Dan did steak and shrimp on the grill. He did a wonderful job and it was delicious. I figured it would be cheaper to eat at home than go out but have buying the groceries I'm not so sure. Any way it was a nice dinner, then a nap and then to gospel meeting.
What?????
You mean it has been over a month since I posted anything here???? I can hardly believe it. I wish I wouldn't do that. Then when I do post it means there will be a lot of postings.
I still have pictures from when we were up in Rapids in April that I haven't posted.
Also I missed some birthdays.................... sorry!!!

Time at Randy and Debbie Swonger

Maple Syrup.............................................We went up to Randy and Debbie while they were making maple syrup. This year they had
some help. Dan S and Brian M wanted to join in the fun so they added more trees which
made more work which was okay since there were more people. I enjoyed watching the
process................... it makes one appreciate maple syrup. Pictures above show them collecting
the sap from the buckets and then pouring it into the storage tank.
Here is the boiling process........... and also Randy, Brian and Dan
The tank on the left is where they put in the sap to start the boil or cooking.
The tank on the right continues the cooking and where it becomes syrup.
I'm skipping a lot of the details and correct terminology
The wood pile next to the shack. Dan and Joseph got in on some of the
fun and work.

Now it is down to just the
syrup tank. Waiting for it to reach
the right consistancy. Then let some
out while filting it. Then is goes
fun and work.

in a pail for another boiling. After
that is put in jars which I missed
because I was putting Joseph to
bed.

Joseph was playing with one of the cats. This cat was very tolerating of Joseph. He had picked it up but by the time I got the picture it was sliding from his hold. Even after being nearly
strangled it still followed Joseph around a bit.
Joseph enjoyed having Corina read to him. Our future camper when we get a trailor hitch.
