First Snow Monday, November 11 of 2013

It barely covered the ground but the two children insisted on going out to play.  Abigail kept talking about making a snowman when Joseph got home from school.  As soon as Joseph walked in the door, not knowing Abigail's earlier remarks, said "come on Abigail lets go outside and build a snowman, make snow angels and ................"

Since the business I clean was closed on Monday, Veteran's Day, I didn't have to work and I let them play out for a bit.

Joseph's old rain boots, Joseph old snow pants and Joseph's old hat

Oh No!!!!!!!!

In my mind I can see a fall getting ready to happen

Oh No!!!  I'm out of here!!!

Hairy Issue

What do you do when the little girl wants to do her own hair?  I've heard some say you should let them express themselves. Let them do it themselves so it will give them confidence..... even if it is embarrassing for yourself.  I told Dan this and he stared at me in disbelief.

I think the following two photos are the days we were going to the library and store.

Thursday of last week.... she wanted to wear a headband

Yesterday she again wanted to do her own hair.
Wrong color of headband..... she loves headbands but the never stay put.

Picture was deleted

I some how deleted this one yesterday when I posted Joseph and Abigail's pictures. I'm not sure what she was doing but she is a bit cute here.

Saturday Trainfest

Saturday we surprised Joseph and Abigail by taking them to the Trainfest at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.  In the morning Dan went with some, from a club, at school to clean up the Adopt a Highway that the club takes care of. We met around noon at a park and ride then on to the fairgrounds.
Dan was just coming down with a cold so he didn't feel the best. My back was giving me problems so I wasn't feeling great either. The day wasn't about us but about the children.  The tickets were $12 for adults and $5 for 4 years and up. They had coupons online so Joseph had a free coupon, I got a dollar off and Dan got in free for showing his veterans id. So instead of paying $29 we paid $11 and of course we paid for parking. I felt better about going when getting in for half the price.  Of course after we got in there we saw a train ride to go on.

I noticed that boys 3 to 11 had an excited look in their eyes just as the bigger boys 65 to 80 did.

This one I took for my Dad...... Bucyrus

watching the trains while being watched  :)

 Harley Davidson train
A very LARGE building

Another one I took with my Dad in mind

the train ride

the happy children

I like the cow train

I found the signs funny but seeing the price one pays
to enjoy their train hobby I can understand the sign

Let's Try To Take Some Pictures...... Again

Sometime last month we tried again to take some pictures of Joseph and Abigail. Dan always ask me why we decide on Sundays to do this because we end up heading to meeting all stressed out..... except for the J&A.  I feel really bad that I have not kept up on taking pictures of Abigail at every stage, age, month, step...... and on.

When one looks good the other has there mouth wide open....

And another try

Looking serious or bored so I made black and white
I like this one

Now.... if Joseph hadn't been trying so hard to smile and sit so nice.... LOL

We told them to act goofing
