Yard Sales

We went out to the yard sales yesterday. I had said no more yard sales this year since we found a wagon and a booster seat but then a tricycle came to mind. So out we went................. and we found it! Joseph thinks if there is anything setting in some one's driveway they are having a yard sale. (smile) Now I think I'm finished with yard sales though it is kinda of nice to find things you need (or want) and in good shape. Yet, with the price of gas................. you might be better off to go straight to Walmart and get it new. It was neat to see the big smile on his face when he saw the tricycle. He can touch the pedals....... barely. He might not get to ride it much yet but maybe he'll figure it out. Push on one pedal and the other will come up where you can reach it. I will get on it and show him. No I will not post that picture.

Memorial Day Weekend

We stayed Friday night with Grandma Millie and Jim. Grandma Millie moved in with Jim last week. We were going up to help with the move but Jim had it all done by the middle of the week. Dan helped Jim put up some crown molding in Mom's bedroom. Jim did a nice job making it look homey and cozy.
Saturday afternoon we went on to Randy's, was there through Monday early afternoon. Monday we came back by Jim's, had supper with them and pick up some things that Mom had put aside for us. Now we just have to find room in our apartment.
We had a nice time but as always we were glad to get back home. Joseph had a smile on his face when he saw the big chicken as we pulled in the drive.

Ketchup!!!
Joseph has never been real big on beef. He loves chicken pretty much however you fix it and pork chops. Wednesday at supper we had a roast and he wasn't eating much, if any. We put ketchup on it and he ate it right up. Yesterday we had leftovers, did the same and as he was eating he kept saying like ketchup. He doesn't do well with potatoes either unless they are french fries. So........... we put ketchup on the mash potatoes last night and he ate them right up. YUCK!!!!!!
We are leaving today to go up to Wisconsin Rapids when Dan get home from work. They are working a short day today. We will stay the night at Jim's and they Saturday sometime we will go up to Randy's. Mom Swonger has moved in with Jim now and hopes to go and stay with some of her children at times.
Have a nice holiday weekend.

Welcome Caleb Glen!!!!!!!
Congratulations Shauna and Chris on the arrival of your baby boy! Wonder what Skyler thinks of her little brother? So now I have a great nephew. That makes two greats on my side and five (I think) greats on Dan's side of the family.
For those of you who don't know.......... Shauna is Janet's (my oldest sister) daughter. If I got this straight Caleb weighed in at 7 pounds and 11 ounces and 21" long. Nice size.

New Addition to the Farm
When we went out to the dumpster we noticed there are two new calves. So that makes three calves now. From the looks of a couple cows there might be two more on the way. The field nearest (west side) to our apartment has just the steers in it. Last year the bull was out there too but haven't seen him. Obviously he was here at some time. They moved the cows after the first calf was born to the larger field on the east side of the farm. At this point, when talking to Joseph, they are all cows.

Taking the trash out to the dumpster

Joseph and I decided to try taking the trash out to the dumpster by using the wagon. Past few times we've done it as a family. (sweet) Usually Dan has always taken the trash out but since warmer weather is coming (I think) I decided it was something Joseph and I could do. Now since Joseph has a little red wagon........ we might be able to handle this job.

I said I was going to give this a try.......... so here it goes. I'm already lost at how this works. I put down something and it doesn't appear where I thought it would. Then I go back to try again........... it will only remove part of it so I have to put something down............. MAYBE I'M TOO OLD TO LEARN THIS!!!!!!!! My first post.......... we can only hope it gets better. It will won't it?? The other Blogs looks so nice! I'll just do the best I can, be myself, don't worry about spelling or grammar. (see if the readers will do the same)
